Basic Research Interests: Mechanisms of hepatic and renal fibrosis and the development of associated complications. Role of nitric oxide and prostacyclin in the formation of splanchnic hyperemia, hepatic sinusoid constriction and portal hypertension. Importance of tissue transglutaminase in extracellular matrix deposition and fibrosis.
