Fellowships: Pediatric Hematology, Department of Pediatrics, 2nd University Hospital, West China University of Medical Sciences, China
Basic Research Interests: The research activities in my lab include investigation of the mechanisms involved in ischemic heart disease and development of effective pharmacological/molecular interventions based on sex hormones or stem/progenitor cell therapy for the treatment of myocardial ischemia. Our current interests are:
- Sex differences in myocardial responses to acute injury
- Stem cell-based therapy in myocardial ischemia
- Epigenetic regulation in stem cell function
