Second Annual IU-Kenya Partnership in Surgery Golf Scramble
The Indiana University School of Medicine invites you to participate in the Second Annual IU-Kenya Partnership in Surgery Golf Scramble. The event will take place on Sunday, May 21, at Golf Club of Indiana. Proceeds from the event will be used to improve surgical care and education in Kenya.
For more than 20 years, IU School of Medicine has partnered with Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, serving as the anchor medical school in a consortium of schools across North America. The efforts of the Division of General Surgery in Kenya focus on education, including helping to design a new curriculum for medical students, and on injury prevention and treatment. Several IU School of Medicine General Surgery faculty serve as annual external examiners for the Kenyan medical students' year-end oral exams. Additionally, IU School of Medicine trauma surgeons have forefronted the establishment of a sustainable EMS service for Kenya.
Through your participation and sponsorship of the IU-Kenya Partnership in Surgery Golf Scramble, the IU School of Medicine Department of Surgery will continue to increase its presence at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, as well as continue to expand the available resources for medical students and faculty. To participate in this year's scramble, please complete and submit the registration form along with your entry fees to:
